About Gregory J Rosenmerkel

I grew up in Wisconsin, left at 18 to go to the Air Force Academy down in Colorado Springs and I served as an AF engineer for over 25 years, returning to Colorado for two assignments, one at Peterson AFB and one to grad school at CU Boulder. I retired from the AF in 2013 as a colonel and I began a second career as the engineering staff officer for the White River National Forest headquartered in Glenwood Springs. This was our family's 13th move so we've experienced many of the emotional and financial ups and downs of buying and selling homes, we've been tenants and landlords, and I'd like to share some of that experience to help other families. My professional experience provides a solid foundation for this next step as well. As an Air Force officer and engineer I was involved in a wide range of responsibilities associated with real property management from base development in deployed locations, to construction, maintenance, environmental compliance and cleanup as well as all the logistical and leadership challenges along the way. Having spent multiple deployments in some challenging and inhospitable locations over the years, I think I've developed a healthy perspective on what's important in my own life and I hope to serve people with calm professionalism and give them a sense of confidence through a transaction. Having been to all 50 states and over 50 countries, I've learned to love the diversity and beauty of many cultures, and love meeting new people. If we just talk—we'll quickly find that we all have much more in common than we have differences. I intend to focus on helping just a small number of clients, buyers and sellers, find some comfort through a significant and stressful process. I think that focus blends well with the Best Way Home team and I look forward to helping others find homes here in the Valley.
