K – 12 Education

The Roaring Fork Valley has a diversity of families, and has developed a diversity of educational options for its students. With three school districts–Aspen School District, Roaring Fork School District, and Garfield School District–there are public schools in each large town from Aspen to Rifle. Additionally, there are private and charter school options for students and parents, as well as alternative education options. Each school district and educational option offers unique benefits to the students it serves, and parents and students often explore some of these options in order to find the best fit.
